Comeback, Apri/Fadia Directly Target Champion At Indonesia Masters 2024

JAKARTA - women's doubles pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti immediately targeted the title during a comeback at the Indonesia Masters 2024 after recovering from injury.

Apri/Fadia previously missed Malaysia Open and India Open 2024 in the past two weeks. They could not appear in the two prestigious events because Apriyani focused on injury recovery.

Apri said his current condition has completely recovered 100 percent so that he is ready to perform optimally.

"Yes, preparations have been quite good. I feel like I'm starting to be tested again after injury. In Malaysia and India there are several things we have to do. Maybe here I'm ready to start again," said Apri.

Absence in the two important tournaments yesterday certainly had a big influence on Apri/Fadia's efforts to hunt down the points of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

However, Apri said that at this time he did not want to worry about Olympic points. He emphasized that he wanted to focus on every tournament, including being a champion at the Indonesia Masters 2024.

"Here (Indonesia Masters 2024) we have to reach the championship to secure the position. Actually, our position is for All England first. We don't want to rush with points. Most importantly, we reach our target first, while the points are later," he said.

In line with Apri, Fadia also said that their desire is to become champions in front of their own supporters when making a comeback later.

"We missed Malaysia and India because of the focus of recovery. We don't want to rush so that Apri can fit 100 percent. Our target is to win, but we still have to step by step," he said.

The Indonesia Masters will take place from 23-28 January 2024 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta. A total of 21 Indonesian representatives will appear in front of their own supporters.

The details of Indonesia's representatives who will play at the Indonesia Masters 2024 are four men's singles, three women's singles, four men's doubles, five women's doubles, and five mixed doubles.
