Jordi Was Very Broken By The Nose When The Indonesian National Team Against Vietnam

Jordi Amat suffered an injury when the Indonesian national team fought Vietnam (doc. PSSI).

Jordi Amat was injured again when the Indonesian national team won against Vietnam 1-0 in the second match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Friday, January 19, 2024.

The centre-back had to be replaced by Rizky Ridho in the 69th minute after suffering an injury to his face.

He hopes that his injury will recover quickly so that he can appear during the Indonesian national team against Japan in the last match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup on January 24, 2024.

"Yes, I have a small fracture next to my nose. I think two days of rest is enough for healing. I hope I can play with masks to protect my face," said Jordi on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

"It's uncomfortable because it hurts. However, I hope the inflammation will disappear in a few days," he said.

Previously, in the match between the Indonesian vs Iraq national team, Jordi Amat also suffered an injury after colliding with Asnawi Mangkualam Bahar.

He only felt the impact of the collision after the match. Jordi Amat admitted that he had urinated with blood.

However, that condition has improved. He was then able to be taken down during the Garuda Squad against Vietnam yesterday.

Apart from that, Jordi further said that the match against Vietnam was extraordinary. Moreover, the victory opened the hope that the Garuda Squad would qualify for the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.

"A great win for the Indonesian national team. We deserve it. We show character and enthusiasm in the game."

"Playing against Iraq is a big test. Now you see how good they are (Iraq against Japan) and we are competing against them. So, now is the time to recover, as well as myself, and then let's fight against Japan," said Jordi.

The victory over Vietnam made the Indonesian national team move up one place to third place in the 2023 Asian Cup Group D standings with three points.

The Indonesian national team is now ranked at the top in the knockout phase of the best third place.
