Kylian Mbappe Feels Deserved High Payments

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain offered Kylian Mbappe a salary of 100 million euros or 1.6 trillion per year if he was willing to stay in France. Although the offer was called excessive, Mbappe claimed he deserved high fees.

Mbappe was criticized for having an extraordinary salary offer from PSG. The reason is, the 100 million euro fee is too high for Mbappe.

The pay is more than three times what Madrid has to offer, which is 30 million euros or approximately 508 billion annually. This makes Mbappe the highest-paid player in Madrid.

Currently, veteran midfielder Toni Kroos gets the highest salary, which is around 25 million euros per year. If you move to the Santiago Bernabeu, Mbappe will occupy the top spot for salary matters.

However, PSG did not remain silent. The club is willing to pay a high fee in order to keep Mbappe whose contract at Ligue 1 club expires in June 2024.

There is a high salary war, but Mbappe admits that he does not know for sure the amount of salary he will receive at PSG or Madrid.

"I don't know for sure," Mbappe said when asked about the amount of salary he would receive. "When I was 12 years old, I also thought too much money in football," he said.

However, he claims it is worth a high salary. Moreover, he didn't steal to get it.

"I deserve a lot of money. After all, I didn't steal it from anyone. That's how the world works," he said again.

The same thing was said by drama Verheyden, Mbappe's lawyer. According to him, the system makes Mbappe receive a large fee.

"Nothing is wrong or embarrassing. Even if we receive 10,000 million, we are still worthy because the system is like that," said Verheyden.

Mbappe has a free transfer status for not extending his contract at PSG. However, Madrid did not immediately get Mbappe easily because there was no need for transfers and negotiations with PSG.

Likewise, the forwards who have scored 26 goals from 25 games this season also did not immediately accept Madrid's offer. Moreover, Liverpool are also eyeing it.

Mbappe certainly considered the most attractive offer. Meanwhile, PSG did not want to let go. In fact, the club has offered multiple salaries.
