Francis Ngannou Wants Anthony Joshua To Fall

JAKARTA Former UFC heavyweight world champion Francis Ngannou is eager to beat former British heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (AJ).

Ngannou, who just got into the boxing ring once against Tyson Fury in October 2023, is scheduled to face AJ on March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou looks so confident to face the fight. He said that defeating Anthony Joshua was not impossible.

"I think he is still the same fighter. He lost to Andy Ruiz. He lost to Oleksandr Usyk and he can still lose," Ngannou was quoted as saying by Boxing Scene.

"By the way, I really intend to give him defeat on March 8, 2024. Nothing is unbeaten," he said.

Ngannou appeared violent against Fury. The Cameroon-France fighter even hit the WBC world belt holder in the third round.

Unfortunately, he ended up losing through a controversial split decision. However, Ngannou has now been ranked WBC in 10th position.

Meanwhile, Joshua has just won his latest win against Otto Wallin in December 2023. It was his third straight win after losing twice in a row to Oleksandr Usyk which cost him the world title.

Ngannou reminded that people should not rule out their chances against Joshua later. He emphasized that he would put up a fierce fight against AJ.

"The schedule has been determined. Our duel will be held two months from now. If any of them think they will get money easily, it's a shame for them," he said.

Joshua was previously projected against Deontay Wilder after fighting Otto. Unfortunately, Wilder lost against Joseph Parker in an event featuring the main card of Joshua vs Otto in December 2023.
