Hokky Caraka Is Optimistic That The Indonesian National Team Will Qualify For The Last 16 Of The 2023 Asian Cup

Hokky Caraka (center) is optimistic that the Indonesian national team will qualify for the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - Hokky Caraka became one of the young players that Shin Tae-yong brought to the Indonesian national team squad to compete in the 2023 Asian Cup.

The 19-year-old strike raised optimism that the Garuda Squad could penetrate the round of 16.

"We are optimistic that we can qualify for the round of 16 and of course we can also qualify in the group stage," said Hokky on the PSSI website.

Hokky's belief is not without reason. He saw the condition of the Indonesian national team squad was ready to fight.

In fact, he is personally ready to give 1,000 percent of his strength if he gets the trust of Shin Tae-yong to take to the field.

"My own condition is very good. Moreover, we have previously undergone a fairly long training camp."

"So, we already have good conditions. We are ready to play the 2023 Asian Cup tournament," he said.

"We have finished training, a little interval, and 3 vs 3 plus one. Then, there is a movement for strikers," said Hokky.

"If I am given playing time by the coach, I am 100 percent ready, even 1,000 percent. I am ready to fight for the country," he said again.

The Indonesian national team will play the inaugural match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup against Iraq on January 15, 2023. Then, they will face Vietnam (19/1/2024) and Japan (24/1/2024).

Before appearing in the 2023 Asian Cup, the Indonesian national team had undergone a training camp in Turkey since December 20, 2023. They then continued TC to Qatar starting from January 7, 2024.
