The Indonesian National Team Underwent Initial Exercises In Qatar For Condition Recovery

The Indonesian national team is the first exercise in Qatar (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team arrived in Qatar on Sunday, January 7, 2024, morning local time. They were immediately greeted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Qatar, Ridwan Hasan, along with entourage and dozens of supporters both at airports and at hotels.

In the evening, they immediately held their first exercise at Al Egla 2 Square, Doha, Qatar. The training session lasted for two hours which started at 19.00 local time.

In the exercise, Shin Tae-yong gave a little tactical training material while restoring the condition of the players.

"So from last night (Saturday night) we walked from Turkey and arrived in Qatar (Sunday) morning. TC in Turkey was done well, according to my plan," said the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong.

"Today we are conducting recovery training as well as tactical. Indeed, training is very light, but this is a good first step, going according to my plan to be overall," said the South Korean coach.

The Indonesian national team underwent the final training camp in Qatar before appearing in the 2023 Asian Cup which will take place on January 12-10 February 2024.

During the TC in Qatar, they still have one test agenda against Iran on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

After that, Shin Tae-yong plans to announce 26 final players to be brought to the 2023 Asian Cup.

The Indonesian national team will face Iraq in the inaugural match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup on January 15, 2024. Four days later, they met Vietnam and finally fought Japan on January 24, 2024.
