Disbursing IDR 51 Billion, Napoli Officially Uses Pasquale Mazzocchi Services

JAKARTA - Italian defender Pasquale Mazzocchi who played for US Salernitana 1919 has finally officially docked at SSC Napoli.

The centre-back has been contracted for 3.5 years until the end of the 2026/2027 season.

"SSC Napoli has announced that it has signed Pasquale Mazzocchi with a permanent agreement from Salernitana," wrote the club's official website, reported ANTARA, Saturday, January 6.

This transfer makes the 28-year-old defender'return home'. This is because Mazzocchi is a footballer born in Naples and has grown up as a loyal supporter of Partenopei since childhood. However, he did not have the opportunity to defend his boyhood club.

Mazzocchi, who has appeared 61 games in Salernitana with 2 goals and 7 assists, is expected to be the ideal competitor for captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo in right-back position.

Meanwhile, according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, launching Saturday, Mazzocchi's signing fee is 3 million Euros or IDR 51 billion.
