FA Cup Third Round: Playing 10 People At The Start Of The Game, Wolves Forced Brentford's 'Replay'

JAKARTA - Wolverhampton Wanderers drew 1-1 against Brentford so both teams had to do a replay in the FA Cup third round match at the Gtech Community Stadium, Saturday, January 6 in the morning WIB. In that match, Wolves had to play with 10 people since the ninth minute.

Wanderers failed to repeat a brilliant victory over the same opponent in the previous meeting in the English Premier League competition. In the match on December 28, 2023, Wolves, who also visited Brentford's headquarters, won 4-1.

Wolves' positive trend continued by beating Everton 3-0. But when they returned to visit Brentford in the FA Cup match, they conceded a goal first before playing a draw. The result made both teams have to rematch.

In that match, Wolves had difficulties dealing with the hosts. Gary O'Neill's manager not only lost the top score of the kiub, Hwang Hee-Chan, who strengthened South Korea in the 2023 Asian Cup.

Wolves have also had to play with 10 people since the ninth minute. The forward Joao Gomes received a straight red card while running for Brentford captain Christian Norgaard.
