Justin Hubner Blunder In Indonesian National Team Debut: First Match Is Very Difficult

Justin Hubner made his debut with the Indonesian national team (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team lost against Libya four goals without reply in a test match at the Mardan Sports Complex, Turkey, Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Two Libya came from the blunder Justin Hubner.

The Wolverhamton Wanderers player made his debut for the Indonesian national team after naturalization was finished when he entered the second half of the match.

However, his debut is not sweet enough. Hubner became the second and third goal conceded actor.

Hubner's error in the Indonesian national team's defense made Libya successfully take advantage of and convert it into a goal.

Regarding the two blunders, Hubner admitted his mistake. He promised to fight for the better.

"My role is not good in this match. I will fight again for the better," Hubner said in a match.

Justin Hubner revealed that his debut in the Indonesian national team was not easy. He admitted that he had not been able to fully adapt to the team.

Moreover, the 20-year-old defender only joined the Garuda Squad training camp in Turkey not from the start.

"This is my first game. This match is really difficult because it's a new system for me, a new formation for me. So, it's really a difficult match to play. However, I'm still happy to be able to play my first match with the Indonesian national team," said Justin Hubner.

The Indonesian national team still leaves one trial party against Libya in the same place. The match is scheduled for January 5, 2024.

This series of trials is a warm-up for the Indonesian national team to the 2023 Asian Cup which will take place in Qatar on 12 January-10 February 2024.

The Indonesian national team is in Group D with Iraq, Japan, and Vietnam. Indonesia will face the inaugural match against Iraq on January 15, 2024.
