PSG Bites Finger, Mbappe Is Free From Contract With Madrid And Liverpool

JAKARTA - Kylian MBappe has entered the last six months of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain which expires in June 2024. Real Madrid and Liverpool are free to negotiate contracts with Mbappe which made PSG bite their fingers.

PSG not only lost its best asset. More than that, PSG did not get a penny from Mbappe's departure.

Ironic that the French Ligue 1 giants have to release the best players for free. In fact, PSG can make Mbappe the most expensive player in the world.

Mbappe himself last signed a contract with PSG in May 2022. PSG later claimed that Mbappe, who confirmed it as the top scorer in the club's history after packing 233 goals, signed a three-year contract.

But Mbappe actually only got a two-year contract with the option of an extension of one year. When the contract ends soon, the 25-year-old player doesn't want to use the option.

Now, he has entered the final of his contract and Mbappe is free to negotiate with any club without PSG's involvement.

Even Mbappe was able to sign a pre-contract with Madrid or Liverpool or other clubs before officially leaving PSG on June 30, 2024.

Until now, there is no certainty that Mbappe will join which club to pursue a new adventure. Madrid is said to be recruiting this former Saint-Etienne player.

However, Liverpool is also monitoring the situation of Mbappe. Liverpool is ready to be Madrid's competitor.
