Thom Haye Enthusiasm After Arriving In Indonesia For Naturalization: It Will Be Fun

JAKARTA - PSSI continues to move in the naturalization program for the Indonesian national team. After Jay Idzes officially became Indonesian citizens and Nathan Tjoe-A-On waited for the oath-taking schedule, now the Thom Haye game will start the process.

The Dutch-blooded player has now set foot in the country to start the process of moving citizens.

Thom is known to have arrived in Indonesia on Thursday, December 28, 2023, and will conduct an interview with the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), then undergo a medical test.

Welcoming the naturalization process which is entering its early stages, Thom admitted that he was enthusiastic to immediately become part of the Indonesian national team.

"It's nice to finally arrive in Indonesia. Yes, strengthening the Indonesian national team will be fun and that will happen."

"I just need to go through the process. I still believe it will happen," said Thom Haye in a statement uploaded by PSSI on Instagram quoted Friday, December 29, 2023.

Thom Haye is a student from a Dutch club, AZ Alkmaar, who is now 28 years old. After playing for AZ Alkmaar and Willem II, Thom Haye briefly defended Lecce in Serie B, Italy.

From his adventure in Italy, Thom Haye decided to return to the Netherlands and had time to try out the second caste with NAC Breda.

However, then he was able to rise to the best level when he joined Heerenveen in 2021 and became one of the important figures in the Heerenveen team to date.
