Jay Idzes Officially Becomes An Indonesian Citizen, Ready To Defend The Indonesian National Team

Jay Idzes officially became an Indonesian citizen (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - Jay Idzes' citizenship process has been completed. The 23-year-old player finished taking the oath of allegiance to Indonesian citizens (WNI) on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

Idzes is scheduled to take an oath at the DKI Jakarta Ministry of Law and Human Rights at 08.00 WIB. He came in a suit according to the provisions, namely a complete black suit, tie, and cap.

Accompanied by his girlfriend, Pien Marijuana, Idzes arrived at the DKI Jakarta Ministry of Law and Human Rights at 07.45.

He then entered the place of taking the oath of Indonesian citizens led by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Kemenkumham Regional Office, Ibnu Chuldun.

The procession of taking the oath begins by singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya before Idzes takes the oath of allegiance to Indonesian citizens.

"By God Almighty, I solemnly declare and promise," said Idzes following the words of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Office.

"Let go, all my loyalty to foreign power, hereby submit and be loyal to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, Pancasila, and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will defend it, seriously and will carry out, the obligations that the state has imposed on me, as an Indonesian citizen sincerely and sincerely," said Idzes later.

After completing the oath of allegiance, Idzes has officially become an Indonesian citizen. Now, he is just waiting for the completion of the passport and Identity Card (KTP) administration.

In fact, Jay Idzes underwent a naturalization process with Nathan Tjoe-A-On. The two citizens have also been approved at the DPR Plenary Session.

However, the oath-taking of Indonesian citizens for Nathan could not be held at the same time as Idzes because the player had to defend his club, Swansea City.

Meanwhile, Jay Idzes is now able to defend the Indonesian national team. However, it seems that the opportunity for the midfielder to appear in the 2023 Asian Cup in January 2024 has been closed considering that the name Idzes has not been registered by Shin Tae-yong.
