Prices Of Immposition, Barcelona Chooses To Extend Joao Felix's Loans

JAKARTA - Barcelona plans to extend the loan period for forward Joa Felix from Atletico Madrid. Felix's high price makes Barca reluctant to make him permanent.

Barca did not want to make Felix's contract permanent despite showing satisfaction with the player's performance this season. Felix has scored six goals and made three assists during his 20 appearances with Barca this season.

The impressive appearance of the 24-year-old made Barca want to extend his loan. If Atletico agrees to the offer, then Felix will undergo a second season with loan player status in the Blaugrana.

Felix was once the second most expensive young player in the world after Kylian Mbappe when he was recruited by Atletico.

However, he did not shine at Los Colchoneros. Especially after the Portugal national team player made a fuss with coach Diego Simone.

He was also eliminated from the squad and was eventually loaned out to other clubs for match hours. Initially, Felix was borrowed by Chelsea in the second round of the 2022/2023 season competition.

From Chelsea, the player who started his career at Benfica moved to Barca. The status is the same, a loan player with a permanent contract option. The loan period is about to be extended by the defending champion La Liga Spanyol.

Barca chose to borrow the player again because the price was still expensive. Meanwhile, the club is still struggling with financial problems.

Atletico itself asked for 80 million euros for Felix. But Barca only dared to buy it at a maximum price of 60 million euros.

President Atletico Enrique Cerezo appears to have refused an offer to extend Felix's loan.

If Barca have no intention of signing and signing Cerezo permanently, Felix hopes to be returned to Atletico after the end of the competition season.
