Carles Puyol And Marco Materazzi Celebrate Euro 2024 In Indonesia

Carles Puyol and Marco Materazzi attended to enliven a series of preparations for Euro 2024 (VOI/Cosmas Kopong Beda).

JAKARTA Two world football legends, Carles Puyol and Marco Materazzi, came to Indonesia as part of a series of preparations for Euro 2024.

The former Spanish and Italian national team players were presented by the MNC Group, which is the holder of the Euro 2024 broadcast rights at iNews Tower, Monday, December 18, 2023, noon WIB.

Puyol, who once brought Spain to the European champions, said that next year his country has a chance to enter the four teams that will get tickets to the semifinals.

"The Spanish national team currently has many young talents who will be the team's future. I see they have a good chance at Euro next year," he said.

Euro 2024 will take place from June 14 to July 14, 2024 in Germany. A total of 24 countries will participate in enlivening the event between European countries.

Materazzi, who brought Italy to the 2006 World Cup champion, said that the Azzurri as the defending champion of the Euros would certainly give its own burden. He considered that it would not be easy for Italy to try to maintain this four-year event title.

"It's not easy to defend the title, especially there are some veteran players who don't play anymore like Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini. These two players are very decisive at Euro 2020," he said.

At Euro 2024 Spain and Italy will be in Group B. They will face Albania and Croatia.

All Euro 2024 matches will be watched on RCTI, MNCTV, and iNews as well as two subscription television channels, namely MNC Vision and K-Vision. In addition, this event will also air on the OTT Vision+ platform.

A total of 51 matches from the group stage to the final can be watched live on these channels.

Euro 2024 is the 17th edition. This year's edition of the tournament is the third time it has been held in Germany as well as the second time after German unification.
