Liga 1 2023/2024: Dewa United Share Points With Bali United At Home

JAKARTA Bali United rose to second place in the 2023/2024 Liga 1 standings after playing a draw against the host Dewa United.

The two teams closed the 22nd week match with a final score of 1-1 at the Indomilk Arena, Tangerang, Banten, Friday, December 8, 2023.

Bali United took the lead in the 44th minute through Eber Bessa's goal. The Brazilian netted the goal with a powerful shot from outside the penalty box after maximizing Ricky Fajrin's pass.

Meanwhile, the host Dewa United replied in the 72nd minute. Adilson Maringa was defeated by Ahmad Nufiandani.

This goal started with Egy Maulana Vikri's free kick which was pushed over by Adilson Maringa. The ball then hit the post and went wild in the penalty box. Nufiandani managed to cheat the ball.

Bringing home one point makes Bali United now collect 40 points. They moved up to second place shifting Persib Bandung who collected 39 points and had to go down to third place.

The team nicknamed Serdadu Tridatu is now still five points adrift of Borneo FC. However, Borneo has yet to play week 22 against PSIS Semarang on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

The result of one point made Dewa United now collect 27 points and fill the 10th place. They are only one point away from Persija Jakarta, which is one place above them.
