Kevin Sanjaya Permission From Pelatnas To Accompany Wife Giving Birth

JAKARTA Men's doubles specialist, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, took permission to miss the PBSI national training camp (Pelatnas) because he had to accompany his wife to give birth.

The head coach of the men's doubles, Aryono Miranat, confirmed that after Kevin was not seen at the Cipayung PBSI National Training Center on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

"She had to accompany her wife to give birth. She was still asking for permission to give birth to her wife because her first child was wary, yes," said Aryono to the media crew.

Kevin and Valencia Tanoesoedibjo officially married on March 23, 2023 at Le Meurice Paris, France. Valencia is currently pregnant with Kevin's first child.

Aryono did not confirm how long Kevin was given permission to be absent from the National Training Center. It is estimated that after his wife was born this month or the first month of next year.

"I don't know the birth between December and January. Maybe at the end of December, it could be until January," he said.

Kevin is currently paired with Rahmat Hidayat. He has appeared with the new pair at the Korea Masters 2023 which took place last month.

Kevin/Rahmat's initial journey at the event was not sweet enough. The reason is, they immediately went home in the second round of the Super 300 level tournament.
