Arema FC Struggles To Pick Up Three Points Against Persik Kediri, To Get Out Of The Relegation Zone

Arema FC, with a strong determination to get out of the relegation zone. Singo Edan, prepares to face Persik Kediri in the 20th week of Liga 1 Indonesia, Monday 27 November. Head coach Fernando Valente emphasized that his team did not want to lose and needed three points of victory.

In a press conference at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Sunday, November 26, Valente stated, "We don't want to lose, we need points to get out (relegation)." Singo Edan is committed to creating difficulties for Persik Kediri and has made intense preparations for two weeks of rest.

"We spent two weeks preparing for the match. We worked hard with the whole team," said Valente, who explained the focus of the team at the moment on physical, technical, and tactical exercises.

Both teams have a long history in their battle. The match Malang vs Kediri has been one of the classic matches in Liga 1. Both teams will certainly fight not to lose. For Persik, the status of playing at home to the opponent, the draw means enough for them. However, playing away from their original supporters, Persik wants more points than this match.

For Sie Edan, by only collecting 18 points until the 19th week, Arema FC is currently in 16th position in the standings. To get out of the relegation zone, they need to win two more wins, and the match against Persik Kediri is considered crucial.

If Arema is able to win, they will collect 21 points, but are still in the relegation zone. Therefore, their struggle does not stop there. Valente realizes the importance of continuing to improve performance to surpass Persita in 15th position.
