JAKARTA - Jeka Saragih, who has just won a historic victory at the UFC, admitted that currently he has 100 students in his hometown.

Jeka said that hopefully his victory can inspire the younger generation so that they can seriously train to achieve achievements.

"I have also built gyms in my village, at least more than 100 students," said Jeka Saragih in a statement on the Kemenpora website.

The owner's full name Jeka Asparido Saragih assesses that such mixed martial arts can keep the younger generation away from negative things, such as criminality and negative interaction.

He said the gym he built actually defended with very minimal funds. However, it can provide many positive things for the younger generation.

"We make the best use of it so that young people there are far from drugs, promiscuity, or anything that is detrimental," he said.

In the hearing with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, the fighter who was born on July 3, 1995, also hopes to be facilitated in meeting with President Joko Widodo.

Jeka said that he wanted to convey his intention so that village sports facilities and infrastructure in Simalungun, North Sumatra, would be built even better by the Government.

"I hope to meet the President (Joko Widodo) so that I can communicate directly about the situation in my hometown," he said.

"Especially that the road infrastructure in my village is still very damaged and there is no network signal. I hope it can be heard and assisted," he added.
