Greek Vs France Preview: Hosts Surrender To Play-off Route

France appeared targetless when they visited Greece in the last match of the Euro 2024 Qualification (Instagram/@equipedefrance).

JAKARTA France will visit the OPAP Arena, Greece's home in the last match of Group B of Euro 2024 Qualification, Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in the morning WIB.

The hosts will face a surrendering match as they have little chance of taking group runners-up posts from the Netherlands. That is, they don't really expect a straight pass to the finals in Germany.

Better yet, Greece depends on realistic hopes of staying in third place in Group B which gets allotted to the play-offs to fight for the remaining three tickets.

Gus Poyet, the Greek coach, has clearly not commented on the match against France. He immediately shifted the conversation about the play-off.

"We have to prepare for a play-off in March 2024. We will use the match against France as a test to see how we can face a better team," Poyet said.

Greece is not without reason to surrender before the match. Although it seems that France will not appear with the main squad later, the depth of Les Bleus cannot be doubted.
