African Zone 2026 World Cup Qualification Results: Egypt Hasn't Stopped

JAKARTA - The 2026 World Cup Qualification of the African Zone is entering its second matchday. There were five new matches on Sunday, November 19, 2023 evening WIB.

Egypt's 2-0 lead did not increase until the game was over even though the opponent played with 10 players. In fact, Sierra Leone played with nine players after Abdul Jarju Kabia received a second yellow card in the 90+9 minute.

The result made Egypt solid at the top of Group A of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Africa Zone. Previously, they crushed Djibouti six goals without reply.

Mohamed Salah became an important actor by printing a quattrick, one of which was from a white spot.

Meanwhile, another strong team from the African zone, Nigeria, still hasn't performed well. They returned to draw on the second matchday of the qualifiers.

Nigeria was detained by Zimbabwe 1-1. Previously, they also drew 1-1 against Lesoto.
