JAKARTA - Inter Milan again topped the Serie A standings after winning 2-0 over Frosinone, where Federico Dimarco scored a spectacular goal remotely, on Sunday 12 November or Monday morning WIB, at the San Siro Stadium, Milan.

On the weekend where Napoli lost to Empoli and AC Milan drew at Lecce, Inter easily returned ahead of Juventus after winning a tough win at home.

Dimarco opened the scoring by finishing stunningly from right inside the opponent's half-field before Hakan Calhanoglu converted the penalty in the second half to confirm three points.

This victory brought Simone Inzaghi's team, who will definitely qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, taking the lead with a 10-point lead from defending champions Napoli, eight points ahead of Milan's closest rivals, and in perfect condition ahead of a visit to Juventus who were in second place after the international break.

Frosinone found themselves holding out in the early stages, but was able to produce meaningful attempted attacks when Luca Mazzitelli fired a shot off after Matias Soule pushed forward and fired at him.

However, Marcus Thuram missed the chance at the far post of Francesco Acerbi's pass and goalkeeper Stefano Turati had to block Thuram's cross at the near post after Lautaro Martinez gave him space.

Turati performed brilliantly with 19 minutes passed when he managed to parry Martinez's powerful strike after Nicolo Barella cleverly released Dimarco's cross.

However, Canaries refused to give Inzaghi complete control and dissatisfaction grew in the San Siro stands because the score had not changed.

Frosinone defender Caleb Okoli had to play optimally to clear Dimarco's dangerous pass in the 36th minute after Denzel Dumfries and Henrikh Mkhitaryan drove fast, and Barella only failed to connect Mkhitaryan's ball five minutes before the break.

However, Inter managed to excel with a spectacular style ahead of the first half whistle when Dimarco saw Turati slightly out of the net and fired a left foot from a distance of 50 yards.

They stepped up their lead in three minutes after the second half began when, after Thuram's rotating action inside the area was illegally stopped by defender Ilario Monterisi, Calhanoglu advanced to beat Turati from the penalty spot.

Walid Cheddira's successor was made unable to score because the ball hit the post as guests looked for ways to get back into the game that was getting open, but Barella shot into the side of the net from Dimarco's cross with the Nerazzurri trying to kill the game.

Inter satisfied with the pressure and tried to take advantage of a counter-attack as time went on, but Barella's shot at the last minute, which Turati easily tamed, was closest to them to enlarge their lead.
