Diogo Jota: We Are Here For Luis Diaz

JAKARTA - Liverpool won 3-0 over Nottingham Forest which was then dedicated to their player, Luis Diaz, who was facing a disaster.

The two parents of Diaz were kidnapped in Colombia. The player was absent from defending Liverpool in the match against Forest at Anfield, Sunday, October 29.

In that match, Liverpool scored three goals through Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah. Jota celebrated by unfurling Luis Diaz's jersey number 7 as a form of support.

After the match, Jota hopes that the problems that befell her teammates will be resolved soon.

"This is a situation we cannot imagine. All we can say is that we are here for him and hopefully everything will go well in the end," said Jota as quoted by Antara.

Meanwhile, Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp said the presentation of this victory was a form of moral support from the team for Diaz.

"Obviously we give extra feelings in this game and that's for the sake of fighting for Lucho. This is really touching, but also extraordinary," said Klopp.

"We just want to provide support for him," he continued.
