JAKARTA - LCR Honda racer, Alex Rins, has high enthusiasm to be able to take the podium at the Indonesian MotoGP race at the Mandalika Circuit, this weekend. However, Rins is self-aware, his big ambition is still limited by his condition which has not fully recovered.
MotoGP in Mandalika, which is the 15th series of the season, could be Alex Rins' comeback moment after injury. He can't wait to do it right away. "I'm looking forward to getting on the podium there (Mandalika Circuit), but it's very difficult this year because I've missed many racing agendas because of this injury," said Alex Rins during a press conference in Sudirman, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, October 11.
Rins did miss several MotoGP series this season due to a broken leg. This mistake happened to him during the Italian MotoGP Sprint Race session in the middle of last year.
With that condition, the former Suzuki racer even had to miss the five MotoGP series this season. Luckily, his current condition is better and that's what makes him excited again.
"I focus on my leg recovery because the main goal right now is to see the condition of the leg due to severe fractures," he said.
"But now I feel a lot of progress than last week in Japan," Rins continued.
With his condition getting better, Rins is increasingly eager to get the best results in Mandalika later. However, he still did not set a grandiose target.
"I hope to give my best in Indonesia with the current conditions. But the important thing is that I want to enjoy the race at Mandalika," said Rins.
