Dani Pedrosa's Struggle To Win Podium At MotoGP San Marino Ends Failure: I've Given Everything

JAKARTA - The good performance was shown by a racer from Spain, Dani Pedrosa, at the San Marino MotoGP, last weekend. Down as a streetcard KTM racer, Pedrosa almost finished on the podium.

Several laps ahead of the finish line, Pedrosa competed closely with Ducati Lenovo's Francesco Bagnaia, who was in third position. Despite having struggled with all his might, the former Repsol Honda rider's efforts ended in failure.

Bagnaia, who is starting to get stuck, is still able to maintain his position. Pedrosa also had to settle for finishing fourth.

"At that time I was just thinking of giving everything up, and trying to catch up to the riders in front (Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecchi, and Bagnaia)," Pedrosa said, quoted from the official KTM website.

"I've had the moment (to get closer) and I felt like I was going to fly, and had several times seen Pecco struggling on the final lap," he added, as reported by Antara.

The rider who decided to retire at the end of 2018 said that the KTM motorbike had actually worked well. However, fate has not taken sides with Pedrosa, who last took the podium in 2017 in Valencia.

"I tried hard because the bike was working really well. Overall, I almost got on the podium again, but I want to thank the team for all their work," said Pedrosa.

"I'm happy. I'm very happy to be here and have the opportunity to (almost) get on the podium. I don't think I'm very happy with the fourth position!" he said jokingly.
