Tyson Fury Will Be Ashamed To Life If He Loses To Francis Ngannou

JAKARTA WBC heavyweight boxing belt ruler Tyson Fury said he would bear shame for life if he lost the duel against Francis Ngannou.

The two fighters are scheduled to board the ring on October 28 nearest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Their duel will take place in 10 rounds of boxing rules with each round three minutes long.

According to Fury, these clashes will risk his pride as a boxer because the opponents he faces have never been in the professional boxing ring.

"You know if I lose to the number one boxer or another boxing champion, that means people say: Yes, he lost to a champion," Fury said.

"However, if I lose to a mixed martial arts athlete, I will never be able to appear again in public. That would be ridicule. People will mock me forever. For that, there are more things I have to face than ever before," he added.

Fury, who has a record unbeaten in his professional career, is highly seeded to win against Ngannou, who is a heavyweight UFC champion and has no boxing experience.

The majority of boxing fans and most of the media covering boxing don't think Ngannou had the chance to embarrass Fury.

However, Fury, 35, insisted that anyone could knock him out (KO) if their shot was really on target. Therefore, he said, Ngannou is clearly dangerous because a fighter is a professional fighter.

Fury said, in anticipation of this happening, he also doubled the intensity of training, unlike he did when he wanted to fight fellow boxers like Deontay Wilder.

"Don't forget that I only trained for six weeks against Deontay Wilder," Fury said.

"I train for Francis Ngannou 12 weeks. So, I have to be in the best condition because there are more things at stake right now than boxing fights," he added.

Fury previously negotiated for the unification of four heavyweight titles against Oleksandr Usyk earlier this year. However, the duel was finally canceled.

However, the plan to bring together the two heavyweight rulers has not yet been extinguished. Until now, both of them still show the possibility of getting into the ring determining who is the king in the heavyweight class.
