Waboh WSBK 2024 Transfer: PATA Yamaha Recruit Jonathan Rea, Aruba.it Ducati Brings Valentino Rossi's Students

JAKARTA - PATA Yamaha officially brought Jonathan Rea to the 2024 World Superbike (WSBK). His presence at Yamaha was also to replace Toprak Razgatlioglu who left for BMW Motorrad.

Rea menjadi tandem Andrea Locatelli yang tetap bertahan di PATA Yamaha musim depan. Bersama Pata Yamaha, Rea mendapat kesepakatan bekerja selama dua musim ke depan atau hingga 2025.

"I am very happy to welcome Jonathan to the Yamaha family and we are very motivated to collaborate in the future," said Eric de Seynes as President and CEO of Yamaha Motor Europe.

"We both have the same motivation to win and passion for WorldSBK," he continued.

He assessed that the new racer has very good abilities. Yamaha is also optimistic that Rea will be able to compete for the 2024 WSBK title, relying on the Yamaha R1.

"We firmly believe that Jonathan can increase the number of world titles, make his name even bigger in history books and we also believe that he can achieve it with Yamaha," he said.

Meanwhile, Aruba.it Ducati officially introduced Nicolo Bulega as the tandem of Alvaro Bautista. The leader of the World Supersport standings will be debutant at WSBK 2024.

Valentino Rossi's student will fill Michael Ruben Rinaldi's position which ends his career in Ducati after three seasons of service.

"I want to be honest, this is a dream come true. Racing for the factory team is the dream of every rider," said Bulega.

"I know how important this opportunity is and I will always give my best to improve myself, day after day, with the only goal of getting the best results."
