Extraordinary! Apriyani/Siti Fadia Reach 2023 Badminton World Championship Final

JAKARTA - The pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti qualified for the final round of the 2023 Badminton World Championships. They beat third seed Kim So-yeong/Kong Hee-yong, in the top four, Saturday, August 26.

Apriyani/Siti Fadia won two straight games with a score of 21-9 and 22-20. Both of them certainly feel happy to finally feel the final after their performance was in the spotlight.

"We enjoyed the match, point by point. I can't imagine, we can go to the World Championship final. Hopefully, it will be a dream that can be realized tomorrow," said Apriyani, after the match.

"This is for the first time that a pair can penetrate the final. To be honest, we can't talk much. We just want to prepare as well as possible. We don't want to think far away, just trying to go through one game to the game," he continued.

However, Apriyani did not want to be too confident. He said their mental and physical must be controlled.

"We can finish today's match and are ready to compete and enjoy the match for tomorrow in the final. Pray for us to win gold from the World Championships," said Apriyani.

In the final, the 11th seed will face another Korean pair, Seo Seung-jae/Chae Yu-jung. The pair beat Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino with a score of 21-15 and 21-13.

"For the final match, conditions are prepared, keep your mind, focus. You must also remain confident in facing the final match tomorrow," said Fadia.
