JAKARTA - Lionel Messi's presence at Inter Miami continues to have a positive impact. The coach, Gerardo 'Tata' Martino, acknowledged that La Pulga's leadership was so real.

In fact, he said Messi appeared like when he defended the Argentine national team at the World Cup.

"What he is doing here is more or less similar to what we saw at the World Cup with Argentina. Leo's leadership inside and outside the field has seemed to stand out over the last few years," Tata said as quoted by ESPN, Friday, August 11.

"I was thinking about what he was doing at the World Cup because it reflected the leadership attitude he had," he continued.

According to Tata, Messi's figure continues to develop and grow to become a better and more authoritative person. This was conveyed based on experience.

Because before working at Inter Miami, Tata had coached Messi at Barcelona and Argentina.

"It's really different from the first years of his career when he only led from the side of football. Today he still has an impact on the pitch, but also during training, when talking to young players, in terms of running ideas for the team," continued Tata.

"When he came, he said, 'I came here to compete and win.' I think the fourth goal (to goal Dallas) was a good example. He celebrated the goal, but at the same time he said, 'Let's grab the ball quickly, let's try to score the fifth goal.'"

"This attitude reflects his mentality, and of course, it is a contagious thing to everyone," added Tata again.
