"Many Balinese children are Indonesian basketball legends. That is the reason why FIBA put its trophy in Bali," said PP Perbasi General Chair Danny Kosasih in a statement on the official website quoted Tuesday, August 1.
"Hopefully in the future there will also be national team players from Bali again and achieve the highest achievement," he continued.

Not only stopping in Bali, but later the Naismith Trophy for the 2023 FIBA World Cup will also surround other cities in Indonesia. After Bali as the opening city, the trophy will also visit the City of Heroes, Surabaya and finally in Jakarta, before heading to Greece, Spain, Australia, and finally will be placed in the Philippines.
