FIFA Inspects U-17 World Cup Venue Candidates, 3 Things To Become The Main Point

JAKARTA - The International Football Federation (FIFA) conducted inspections of a number of stadiums that will be the venue for the 2023 U-17 World Cup in Indonesia. On Saturday, July 29, FIFA's envoy visited the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

On the same day, FIFA will then depart for the ABC Field at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium complex, Madya Stadium, Hockey Field, Gelora Bung Karno Stadium complex, and Soemantri Brodjonegoro Stadium, Jakarta.

The All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) said there were three main points that caught FIFA's attention when inspecting the readiness of stadiums in Indonesia which will be used for the U-17 World Cup.

PSSI Deputy General Chair II, Ratu Tisha said, the three important points are the readiness of the stadium, field management and team services.

"First (related to) the readiness of the venue, including the main venues and training fields," said Ratu Thasha, as reported by Antara, Saturday, July 29.

The types and conditions of grass used in the stadium are also in the main spotlight of the world football parent. FIFA has recommended JIS grass to be replaced because matches with tournament formats that have high intensity make the world football body want to ensure faster grass replacement with a recovery system.

"The letter also stated that the restoration of the repair (stadium formula) took eight to ten weeks. In my opinion, this is a very good initiative from FIFA so that Indonesia can prepare JIS so that it can be used (to become a venue) for the U-17 World Cup," said Ratu Thasha.

The third point that FIFA pays attention to is the team services, including accommodation for the participants.
