YOGYAKARTA - PSSI General Chair, Erick Thohir, has officially announced the figure of German coach Frank▁Samasuth, as consultant coach of the U-17 Indonesian national team, Bima Sakti, to face the 2023 U-17 World Cup.

Erick said Frank telesuth would help Bima Sakti improve the quality and game strategy of the Indonesian U-17 national team which is projected to enter the 2023 U-17 World Cup.

"We have appointed Frank airmuth as the consultant coach who will accompany the coach of the Milky Way," said Erick Thohir in Surakarta on the sidelines of seeing the selection for the U-17 World Cup selection.

"This initial contract is for a period of 4 months, until the FIFA World Cup U-17. We will observe how the two of them cooperate in building the Garuda Muda national team," he added.

For Erick, Frank will also be tasked with helping prepare the U-17 national team throughout holding a training camp in Germany. Because, he is considered to have a network that can support the preparations to run smoothly.

" Frank's appointment is also based on a training camp plan and a try out to Germany which starts from September to October. I believe Frank's network in Germany wants to help the national team's maturation a lot as well as the coaching team," Erick explained.

Frank aireduth is a former German footballer. He was born in West Berlin, West Germany, on September 13, 1960. He grew up in Mettelbaden and played defender with Offenburger FV.

In 1982, he became a reliable footballer when he joined SC Freiburg who competed in the second caste of the German League. In his first time, he played with Joachim Loew, who after that became coach of the German national team.

Throughout his career with the club, he scored one goal in 24 matches. After that, he left his hometown club when he was recruited by Hertha BSC who also competed in the second caste.

After 3 years of playing with Hertha BSC, he decided to end playing professional football and continuing his career at the amateur level, namely with Freiburger FC and FC Denzlingen.

After that, he continued his career in coaching from 1999 when he was trusted by SC Pfullendorf until 2001. Only after that, he was recruited by SSC Reutlingen in 2002- 2003.

His career after that continued with several teams, ranging from Union Berlin ( 2004), VFR Aalen ( 2005-2026), the German U- 20( 2008-2018) national team, Heracles Almelo (2018-2022), and finally FC Groningen(2022).
