Premier League Transfer Exchange: Brighton & Hove Albion Brings Igor Julio From Fiorentina

JAKARTA - Brighton & Hove Albion inaugurated the fifth purchase for next season, namely Brazilian player Igor Julio from ACF Fiorentina with a four-year contract until 2027, as reported by the club's official website, Thursday.

Igor became Brighton's fifth signing after James Milner (Liverpool), Joao Pedro (Watford), Mahmoud Dahoud (Burussia Dortmund), and Bart Verbruggen (RSC Anderleptat) to increase the club's ammunition to navigate four competitions next season, namely the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Europa League.

Igor joined Fiorentina two seasons ago, to be precise, July 2021 from SPAL. Last season, Igor played 42 games in all competitions and took a big part in the Italian League eighth place and became two finalists in the Conference League and the Italian Coppa.

Igor started his career with Portuguesa based in Santos, Brazil before moving to Austria in 2016 where he defended second-tier FC Liefering.

In 2017, Igor played for Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg and in January 2018 was loaned to Wolfsberger before later continuing to Austria Wien in July 2018. He then played in the Italian League when he bought the SPAL in July 2019.
