Mandalika Circuit Holds ARRC And MotoGP 2023 In August And October

JAKARTA - The Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) will be held in Indonesia, precisely at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Not long after another prestigious racing event, the 2023 MotoGP will also be held in the same location.

For the ARRC event which will be held at the Mandalika Circuit, it will be the 4th round of this season. The agenda will take place on 11-13 August 2023. Meanwhile, the 2023 MotoGP agenda in Indonesia is the 15th series and will be held on October 13-15, 2023.

ARRC is a sports motorcycle racing event at the Asia Pacific level where 20 percent of the riders are Indonesian racers. With this background, the appearance in the 4th round can be a breath of fresh air for Indonesian racers to be able to show off in the country.

The ARRC and MotoGP events which will be held at the Mandalika Circuit are a slick momentum for Indonesia, especially for the MotoGP event, this is the second time they have presented challenges for racers on designed tracks such as the shape of the Lumping Horse.

The ARRC and MotoGP events at the Mandalika Circuit in August and October will be held thanks to the collaboration established by the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) with PT Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA).

They also collaborated with the Ministry of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) and PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney.

Regarding the international racing agenda, SOE Minister Erick Thohir said it would be an important moment in order to introduce and announce preparations for the most prestigious motorcycle racing championships in Asia and the world.

"This year, the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) and MotoGPTM 2023 events are expected to be a season full of tense racing, and the brilliant achievements of the best Asian and world racers," Erick Thohir said in a statement, Thursday, July 13.

On the same occasion, Injourney President Director Dony Oskaria said, "Assignment to the MGPA under the auspices and supervision of ITDC & InJourney as the organizer of the ARRC event and also MotoGP is a matter of pride as well as a big responsibility that will be carried out as much as possible so that it can run successfully."
