Deontay Wilder Urges Andy Ruiz To Sign A Duel Contract: Don't Let Others Meet You

JAKARTA - Heavyweight boxer and former world champion Deontay Wilder urged Mexican fighter Andy Ruiz to immediately agree to their fight.

Last year, the WBC ordered Wilder and Ruiz to fight in the elimination of the world title race. The winner of the duel will fight the current world champion, Tyson Fury.

Wilder said Ruiz should immediately sign a contract for the duel. Moreover, this fight will make a lot of money.

"We offered a lot of money and I think you should accept it. I don't want you to let other people dictate your current career," Wilder said.

"You only have a limited time to make as much money as you can. Don't let other people interfere in this. You make the decision," he added.

Previously, through social media, Wilder had blamed Ruiz's father. The 37-year-old fighter said Ruiz's father made it difficult for their negotiations to run smoothly.

Wilder said Ruiz should have made a decision rather than have to listen to his father. According to him, their fight will be held or not entirely depends on Ruiz.

"Don't let your father mess up your past years. It's okay to take care of your father, but you are an adult man with your children depending on you," said Wilder.

"Remember that before it's too late, you will regret it when your father lectures you about how you should save," said Wilder.

Wilder has not fought again since he got into the ring in October last year. At that time he managed to beat knockout (KO) Robert Helenius in just one round.

Wilder is currently also in talks to face Anthony Joshua in the nearest December. However, the conversation is not yet clear.
