Euro 2024 Qualification Results: England And France Gol Party

JAKARTA - The England and French national teams (timnas) had a goal matchday 3 of the 2024 European Cup (Euro) qualifiers, Saturday morning WIB.

England travel to Ta'Qali National Stadium, Malta headquarters, in Group C matches. The visitors' goal was created by the suicide of Ferdinando Apap, Trend Alexander-Arnold, Harry Kane and Callum Wilson.

England opened the scoring when the game had only been running for eight minutes. Malta defender Ferdinando Apap scored an own goal after anticipating a wrong pass from Bukayo Saka. The score becomes 1-0.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 28th minute through Trent Alexander-Arnold's goal. The Liverpool player fired a shot from outside the penalty box that broke into Malta's goal. England won 2-0.

England were awarded a penalty two minutes later for Harry Kane being brought down by an opposing player in the box. The Tottenham Hotspur striker stepped up as the executor and successfully changed the score to 3-0.

After the break, England continued to play aggressively in the second half. The referee again awarded England a penalty in the 83rd minute after Malta's Steve Borg made a handball.

This time it was Callum Wilson's turn to take a penalty kick. He beat Malta goalkeeper Henry Bonello and brought England away 4-0.

The score 4-0 for England lasted until a long sheet ranged. Gareth Southgate's squad took home three points.

This victory made England firmly at the top of Group C with 9 points. Malta did not move from a distended position without picking up a single point from three matches. France beat Gibraltar 3-0

Meanwhile, France also won convincingly against Gibraltar three goals without reply in Group 3rd matchday at Algarve Stadium, Portugal on Saturday morning WIB.

Three French goals were scored by Oliver Giroud, Kylian Mbappe and Aymen Mouelhi, respectively.

The visitors were already ahead when the game had only been running for three minutes. Kingsley Coman moved on the right and released a cross headed by Olivier Giroud into the goal of goalkeeper Gibraltar, Dayle Coleing. France won 1-0.

France added to the advantage towards the end of the first half after the referee awarded a penalty for Roy Chipolina's handball. Kylian Mbappe stepped forward as the executor and successfully changed the score to 2-0.

France scored again in the 78th minute. This time from an own goal, after Mbappe's low cross hit Aymen Mouelhi and went into his own net.

There were no additional goals until the game ended. France won 3-0 and is still perfect from three European Cup Qualification Group B matches in 2024.

Didier Deschamps' team led Group B with nine points, followed by Greece and the Netherlands who each won three points. While Gibraltar is still without points at the bottom of the standings, losing the goal difference to the Republic of Ireland.
