Provisional Standings For ASEAN Para Games 2023 Medals: Indonesia Has Even 100 Golds

JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent is unstoppable at the 2023 ASEAN Para Games. The Red and White Forces are increasingly firmly at the top of the medal standings.

Currently, Indonesia is above the standings with the achievement of 100 gold. Overall, the Indonesian Team has collected 238 medals, with details of 100 gold, 80 silver, and 58 bronze.

The 100th gold medal for Indonesia was presented by Adyos Astan and Yayang Gunaya from the table tennis para-table sport in the men's doubles number TT4.

Other table tennis athletes such as M. Rian Prahasta and Banyu Tri Mulyo (TT8) men's doubles, Hilmi Azizi and Komet Akbar (Men's Doubles TT10), Leli Marlina and Tarsilem (women's doubles TT5), Hamida and Suwarti (women's doubles TT8), Cici Juliani and Shella Dwi Radayana (women's doubles TT10), Barce Eystend Layaba and Tatok Hardiyanto (Men's doubles TT5) also provided gold medals for the Garuda Squad.

The bronze medals were also obtained through this sport, namely from Kusnanto and Aman Suratman in the men's doubles number TT9, and Varly Jerico Tilaar and Leonardo Aritonang in the men's doubles number TT8.

Indonesian mixed doubles pairs for table tennis, namely Ida Yani and Sefrianto (TT1-3) and Enceng Mustopa and Siti Fadhillah (T6-7) also brought home bronze for Indonesia.

The gold acquisition that continues to increase for Indonesia comes from several sports, with para-athletics and para-swimming, as reported by Antara.

Swimmer Maulana Rifki Yavinda won a gold medal in the backstroke number 100 meters S12 with a time of 1 minute 6.53 seconds which is a new record at the ASEAN Para Games.

From para-athletic sports, several athletes such as Yahya Juhdiansyah won gold medals from the F44 disc throwing number. The gold medal was also given by the Petrus Kanel Alupan quartet, Eko Saputra, Muamar Habibila, Ruli Alkahfi Mubaroq from the men's 4 x 100 meter relay number T11-13.

Furthermore, the Boccia sports team exceeded the medal achievement target by presenting two medals from one gold targeted in APG 2023 Cambodia.

In addition, the Indonesian team managed to come out as the overall champion of the blind judo sport at the 2023 ASEAN Para Games (APG) Cambodia with 11 gold medals and five silver medals.

Meanwhile, the top three positions in the standings are still filled with Thailand with 73 gold, 68 silver, and 50 bronze; and Vietnam which has collected 36 gold, 38 silver, and 54 bronze.
