KONI Officially Inaugurates PSSI Management For The 2023/2027 Period, The Position Of Secretary General Remains Filled With Yunus Nusi

JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) officially inaugurated the management of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) for the 2023-2027 period. The position of Secretary General (Sekjen) was again filled by Yunus Nusi.

The inauguration of the PSSI 2023-2027 management took place at the Fairmont Hotel Ballroom, Central Jakarta, Friday afternoon, May 26. The Executive Committee (Exco), totaling 16 people, attended this inauguration, from the Ketum to the Exco members.

The event was also attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Dito Ariotedjo, Raja Sapta Oktohari as Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI).

Erick Thohir was actually officially elected as chairman of PSSI at the Extraordinary Congress (KLB), last February 16. However, after three months had passed, Erick Thohir and his colleagues were not officially inaugurated.

This situation occurred because the federation was faced with various agendas and also waited for the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia to be completed. In addition, Erick Thohir's status, who is still active as Minister of SOEs, is also a calculation to determine the schedule.

"I hope today's inauguration is not the first or final step for us to work, but I respectfully and with all humility, ask for maximum support from the Menpora, Chairman of Koni, chairman of KOI and all sports heads to be able to support football achievements as we aspire to become a tradition," said Erick Thohir in his remarks.

After being officially inaugurated by KONI, PSSI's closest agenda was holding the Annual Congress on Sunday, May 28. The main agenda is the determination of work programs, financial reports and choosing management details or judicial commissions such as disciplinary committees, appeal committees to referee committees.
