JAKARTA – A Lionel Messi fan in India has received a fortune. He was presented with a house themed on the Argentina national team by a businessman from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Afi Ahmed.
The Messi fan named Subair Vazhakkad lives in Kerala, India. Subair went viral due to an interesting Malayalam commentary during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Subair actually only works as a small farmer. Despite not having the qualifications of a pundit, he can captivate listeners with his in-depth analysis of players, teams, and matches.
”This is my dream house. I have no words to thank him," Subair told Gulf News.
Subair had previously been invited by Afi to witness Messi and the Argentina national team during the World Cup in Qatar.
The invitation came after Afi learned about Subair's love for football, Messi, and Argentina. However, Subair turned down the opportunity because he had to take care of a sick family member.
His sacrifice and dedication to the family also impressed Afi. Therefore, Afi then built a unique Argentinian-themed house for Subair in Vazhakkad village, Malappuram district, Kerala.
It should be noted that this is not the first time Afi has shown kindness to Messi fans.
He previously flew young Messi fan Muhammad Nibras to Qatar after seeing him in a state of despair following Argentina's 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia in their World Cup opener.
