Inter Milan Still Difficult To Look Consistent, Spezia Gives Wounds To Lukaku

JAKARTA - After winning 2-0 from Lecce last week and losing 0-1 to Bologna two weeks before, on Saturday morning, March 11, Inter Milan lost 1-2 again during a trip to Spezia's headquarters in Week 26 of the Italian League.

Spezia took the lead through Daniel Maldino's goal before Romelu Lukaku equalized. And Spezia's winning goal was scored by M'Bala Nzola with a penalty kick.

This result is running low on Inter Milan's chances of winning the Italian League, they are now in second place and 15 points adrift of leaders occupied by Napoli, according to the official Serie A website. Meanwhile Spezia is in 17th place with 24 points from 26 matches.

Inter had a chance to take the lead with a penalty kick in the 13th minute. The referee pointed to the spot after VAR ruled that Mattia Caldara violated Danilo D'Ambrosio.

Lautaro Martinez stepped up as the executor, unfortunately his shot was still legible by Spezia goalkeeper Bartminomiej Drugowski. The score lasted 0-0.

Spezia actually scored the opener in the 55th minute. Daniel Maldini listed his name on the scoreboard. Utilizing M'Bala Nzola's pass, his right foot kick in the penalty box managed to break into Samir Handanovic's goal. Inter trailed 0-1.

Inter were again awarded a penalty in the 82nd minute after Salvador Ferrer fouled Denzel Dumfries. This time Romelu Lukaku, who stepped up as the executor, successfully carried out his duty to bring Inter equalized. The score became 1-1.

This time it was Spezia's turn to get a penalty in the 85th minute following Dumfries' foul on Kovalenko. M'Bala Nzola successfully beat Samir Handanovic to restore Spezia's lead. Spezia won 2-1 over Inter Milan.

Until the game ended, there were no additional goals from both teams. Inter failed to steal three points at home to Spezia.
