Barcelona Wins Spanish Super Cup, Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti: They're Better, Period!

JAKARTA - Barcelona won the 2023 Spanish Super Cup after defeating Real Madrid in the final, Monday morning WIB. In the match that was held at the King Fahd Stadium, Saudi Arabia, Barcelona won 3-1.

Gavi and Lewandowski put Barcelona two goals ahead in the first half. Pedri scored the third goal for Barcelona before Real Madrid reduced the arrears through Karim Benzema's goal.

This trophy is Barcelona's first trophy since they won the Copa del Rey in 2021.

Barcelona played extraordinarily in this match. Meanwhile, Real Madrid's fragile defense was one of the factors in their defeat.

This was also recognized by Los Blancos coach, Carlo Ancelotti. "This is not a critical moment, it is a difficult and complicated moment. This usually happens over a season. It can be repaired with commitment," said Ancelotti.

"The players have to realize that. These mistakes are easy to avoid," he continued.

He said his team had given up before the match started. There wasn't much rhythm and it was too easy to give Barcelona the lead.

"The mistake is certain. This is not a good match for anyone. Talking about sporting insults seems to me rude. They were better, full stop."
