Germany And Argentina Really Have The Same Fate

JAKARTA - Another surprise occurred in the early stages of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. After the Argentine national team, now it's Germany's turn to lose their first match.

Interestingly, Germany and Argentina actually fared the same. There are interesting facts that are somewhat unique from the failure of the two giants.

Germany and Argentina are both from Asian teams. Germany was bent by Japan, while Argentina was silenced by Saudi Arabia.

Both of them also lost in their first match at the 2022 World Cup.

Another interesting note, Germany and Argentina were both ahead of their opponents. Surprisingly, the first goals of the two teams came from the spot.

When they lost to Saudi Arabia, Argentina took the lead through Lionel Messi's penalty goal in the 10th minute. While Germany won 1-0 over Japan in the 33rd minute through Ilkay Gundogan's penalty.

Another uniqueness is, the two teams both had to swallow the bitter pill the goal they scored in the first half had to be annulled by the referee.

Moreover, both Germany and Argentina conceded two goals in the second half.

Ironically, Germany and Argentina had to swallow defeat when they were far superior in terms of ball possession and also shots at the opponent's goal.

This incident is of course just a coincidence. But what is certain, this defeat made the fans of Argentina and also Germany could not help being disappointed.
