JAKARTA - The process of naturalization of prospective Indonesian national team player, Shayne Pattynama, will be discussed in the House of Representatives Commission X meeting today, Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
At the meeting, the General Chairperson of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan, will be present. He claimed to have received an invitation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).
Iwan Bule, Iriawan's nickname, claims to have seen very high enthusiasm from the Indonesian people for Shayne's naturalization process.
"There's only a little more path that we have to go through to see Shayne wearing the pride of the Indonesian national team," said Iriawan on the PSSI official website.
The former West Java Police Chief admitted that he would provide information regarding Shayne's support. He hopes House Commission X approves Shayne's application for citizenship.
"And hopefully all the processes go well for the sake of a stronger Indonesian national team," he continued.
The player himself can not wait to immediately complete the naturalization process. He wants to defend the Indonesian national team in the near future.
"Hello Pak Ketum, how are you. Hope to see you soon. I can't wait to play for the Indonesian national team. We are Garuda," said Shayne in a video that was later uploaded to Iwan Bule's Instagram account.
Shayne is an experienced player in the Europa League. Currently, he is playing in the Norwegian League with Viking FK.
Shayne has recorded 26 six appearances since being signed from the 2021 season. There Shayne Pattynama managed to record two goals despite playing as a defender.
