The Fight Is In Sight, This UFC Athlete Actually Suffers An Unusual Injury

JAKARTA - UFC middleweight fighter Darren Till suffered a horrific eye injury during training camp ahead of his comeback to the octagon.

In fact, in the near future, he will have a UFC 282 match against South African champion, Dricus Du Plessis, in Las Vegas.

Till got this injury while forging himself at Bangtao Muay Thai, Thailand. The 29-year-old fighter's hard training made him suffer an abdominal injury which then spread to his left eye.

He then shared a photo of his left eyeball which looks completely red and bruised. The photo was uploaded to his Instagram page last weekend.

"Solid days work today with the boys," he captioned the photo.

Many of Till's fans later expressed their concerns. "What happened to your eye?" said one of his followers.

"Is it worth losing an eye, Darren?" said another.

"New injury for 282?" another fan said.

The clash with Du Plessis will be his first match after a hiatus of more than a year. His last fight ended in defeat in the third round to Derek Brunson, last September.
