Premier League Results: Liverpool Keok At Anfield, Losing 1-2 To Leeds United

JAKARTA - Liverpool had to lose 1-2 at home to Leeds United on matchday 14 of the Premier League at Anfield, Liverpool on Sunday morning.

Leeds took the lead quickly through Rodrigo Moreno's goal, before being equalized by Mohamed Salah. Crysencia Summerville scored a winning goal for Leeds in the 89th minute, quoted from Premier League data.

This defeat is the fourth for Liverpool this season and makes them sit ninth in the Premier League standings with 16 points from 12 matches. Leeds rose to 15th position with 12 points.

Leeds surprisingly took the lead in the 4th minute. This started with Joe Gomez's backpass error. He did not see Alisson Becker's position away from the ball and Rodrigo snatched it before slotting into the empty net. The score became 1-0.

The goal made Liverpool eager to catch up and Roberto Firmino almost equalized in the 13th minute had his close-range shot not been blocked by Illan Meisler.

Liverpool could only equalize in the 14th minute. Andrew Robertson's cross was met by Mohamed Salah's left-footed volley that broke Meisler's net. The score becomes 1-1.

Leeds almost took the lead again in the 21st minute had Rasmus Kristensen's cross which Brendan Aaronson's shot missed Alisson's post.

A minute later it was Rodrigo's turn to score, but Alisson was able to parry his shot.

Entering the second half, Liverpool still controlled the course of the match but they still had difficulty breaking into the Leeds goal. One chance was obtained by Salah in the 58th minute with a hard kick that was still floating over the bar.

Meslier became a strong wall for Leeds because he saved Liverpool's golden opportunity in the 67th minute. This time it was Nunez who got the ball from Salah and just faced the French goalkeeper, but his shot was blocked.

Nunez got back in the 79th minute to release a shot from outside the box. The ball headed into the top corner of the net, but Meslier made an incredible save.

Liverpool conceded a second goal in the 89th minute by Cryptencio Summervile's goal. Liverpool's back line could not block Leeds' attack from the left.

The ball ended at Summervile's feet, who despite being escorted by two opposing players, were able to throw a shot at the far post without being driven away by Alisson.

The 2-1 score lasted until the game was over. Leeds managed to steal three points at Liverpool's home.
