JAKARTA - Two Indonesian League 1 clubs, Persebaya Surabaya and Persis Solo have agreed to send letters to PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru. The letter relates to the competition which was stopped after the Malang Kanjuruhan Tragedy.

This agreement was taken after the officials of Persebaya and Persis discussed Solo, Monday, October 24.

"Apart from all the problems of the tragedy, we also have to think about the future, what it should look like as a club", said Persebaya Surabaya owner, Azrul Ananda, as reported by Antara.

"We talked about what happened. Talked with Mas Kaesang and Mas Kevin. Moreover, Solo and Surabaya were both used for the world cup", he continued.

Persebaya and Persis soon will issue a letter and a statement about their concern for the future of football and the sake of the continuity of the league.

Azrul said Persebaya and Persis were even ready to provide support for the holding of the KLB for the improvement of national football.

"We both agree that there will be improvements in Indonesian football. We support the goodness of Indonesian football, if it has to be KLB, it's KLB. (Our hope) is that the main thing is that improvements must be made, we agree with that", said Azrul.

He emphasized the thing that is no less important is that the league must continue to run. According to him, it is more urgent because it involves the players and the continuity of the clubs.

"Both are equally urgent because they are related. PT LIB is a company, when the management is involved in matters, the shareholder club must think about what's next", he said.
