Thailand MotoGP Wet Track Win, Miguel Oliveira: I'm thinking About Mandalika

JAKARTA - Red Bull KTM racer, Miguel Oliveira, won the Thailand 2022 MotoGP race which took place on Sunday, October 2 yesterday. The race at Thailand's Buriram Circuit took place in the pouring rain.

Oliveira admitted that the victory made him remember the race in Mandalika, Indonesia. The reason, he also won there when racing on a wet track.

Oliveira deserves to be called the conqueror of the wet track. During the race in Thailand, the Portuguese rider started from 11th position, before finally pushing forward and winning the race.

When racing at the Mandalika MotoGP, Oliveira also did not start the struggle from the front row. The 27-year-old racer only occupied the seventh position and started from the third row.

"It was a long race but I can't complain. Every time we ride on a wet road, I'm very fast. When it started raining today, of course, I thought about Indonesia (Mandalika MotoGP) but I wanted to stay on the ground," said Oliveira after the race, as quoted from Speedweek.

The success in MotoGP Thailand towards the end of the season made Oliveira excited to look at the remaining three-race series. As is known, the next MotoGP race will be held in Australia, Malaysia, and Valencia.

"I started well and didn't want to make mistakes in riding the bike until the end. I'm very happy with this victory at the end of the season, even though it wasn't dry because that's what we wanted," said Oliveira.

"It doesn't matter, I will win under any circumstances," he added.
