Arsenal Defender Kieran Tierney Had A Difficult Time That Could Make Someone Commit Suicide When Moving To London

JAKARTA - Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney admits that he was at a low point when he decided to move to London. The phase in which a person can commit suicide.

The tragic story was conveyed by this 25-year-old defender in the documentary 'All Or Nothing: Arsenal'. This is a fly-on-the-wall program that follows the Gunners during the 2021/2022 season and will air on Amazon Prime on August 4 tomorrow.

The former Glasgow Celtic man left his family and friends to travel to London in 2019 for a fee of £25 million. In London, he faced difficult times.

He has to fight against longing for his family and hometown. Something that made him understand why some of his friends committed suicide.

"It's difficult to start, I really had to try. Really at a low point. The homesickness was terrible from the start", he said, quoted by The Sun, Wednesday.

"Outside of training you have a lot of time to think. I'm not saying I've been in the worst, worst place where I wanted to kill myself."

"But my friends have. Two or three of them killed themselves and lost their lives. You are with these people and you know nothing. They haven't spoken."

The Scotland international said he was sorry that none of his friends wanted to share his troubles with him.

To that end, he feels an obligation to help others after struggling with mental health when he left Scotland to join Arsenal.

"So I think I feel a certain responsibility to try and help as much as I can because I know what it's like to be in a certain place."

Tierney made his Celtic debut at the age of 17 in 2015 before earning his first Scotland cap the following year. His slick appearance made Arsenal tempted to secure his services.

He is currently living comfortably and feeling at home in London after coming out of a difficult phase. He lived in one of the houses with the cook.
