Black And Blue For The Title Of Champion, This UFC Fighter's Face Is Almost Unrecognizable

JAKARTA - Brandon Moreno's victory over Kai Kara-France in the fight for the flyweight title at UFC 277 must be paid dearly. He suffered a horrific facial injury as a result of buying and selling punches with Kai Kara.

Moreno took several heavy blows before his shot in the third round made a sensational win. The championship belt was back around his waist.

He smiled after the win, though his face was battered and bruised. Even the 28-year-old fighter needed stitches to his cheek.

The UFC also posted a photo of Brandon, whose face is hard to identify, with the caption, "The face of a champion."

The victory made Moreno have to prepare for a fight against his rival, Deiveson Figueiredo. They will meet in the octagon for a rematch.

However, Moreno was not so excited. He actually didn't want to fight with Figueiredo anymore. Even so, she would still be ready if she had to face him again.

"So I promise I just want to finish my business with him and then the next challenger, I will be ready for him," Moreno said.

Moreno also emphasized, no matter where to fight. He just wanted to end the business with his rival.

"So we'll see what happens in the future. I just want to fight before the end of the year. I've been waiting for it for a long time," he said.
