Angry To Jake Paul's Accusations Of Increasing 245K Instagram Followers, Hasim Rahman Jr: Has Nothing To Do With Boxing!

JAKARTA - Hasim Rahman Jr. firmly denied Jake Paul's accusations ahead of the duel, on August 6. Jake Paul accused Rahman Jr of buying followers on Instagram to encourage and heat up their fight.

Hasim Rahman Jr. is a substitute opponent after Jake Paul's previous opponent, Tommy Furry, decided to withdraw. The two will be fighting at Madison Square Garden in the future.

This match is considered a step forward for Paul because his potential opponent is a heavyweight fighter.

Even though he is more experienced in boxing, Hasim still has to admit Jake Paul's superiority on social media.

The Sun launched, Hasim's fame was no better than his opponent. Previously, Hasim Rahman's son was less well known on social media because he only had five thousand followers on Instagram.

However, after registering as Jake Paul's opponent, the number of followers on Instagram skyrocketed. Now there are more than 245,000 followers of his account.

This is what makes Jake Paul accuse his potential opponent of illegally buying followers to heat up the fight later. Hasim denied the accusations.

He also considered that a large number of followers on Instagram would not affect their duel in the ring later.

"Why are you (Jake Paul) accusing me of buying followers? Why are you boycotting my followers? Boxing has nothing to do with followers on Instagram," Hasim said at a press conference quoted by The Sun.

Apart from denying the instant increase in followers on Instagram, Hasim also mentioned Jake Paul accusing him of asking for more money.

He said that although he was Paul's highest-level opponent, he got the lowest payout in the deal.

"I didn't ask for anything. What are you talking about? I didn't ask for more money, I never asked for more money. I took the lowest number even though it was at the highest level," Hasim said.

“I am the highest level opponent you have ever faced, but I got the lowest number of anyone you fought,” he continued.

In a heated press conference, Hasim Rahman Jr. also claimed that Paul often evaded during the sparring session. He then alleged that the recordings released by Paul's camp had been heavily edited.

"With this tape, they put out what they wanted to come out. Did you put out the tape where you turn and run from me in the ring? Why don't you face it? You turn around and run," Hasim said.
