Novak Djokovic Gets 4 Wimbledon Trophy Consecutively, Nick Kyrgios: He Is A Demigod

JAKARTA - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic won Wimbledon 2022 after defeating Nick Kyrgios in the final, Sunday, July 10, local time. This is the fourth Wimbledon title in a row for Djokovic.

In the final which took place in hot temperatures, Djokovic had fallen behind after losing 4-6 in the first game. However, he bounced back and took the next three games.

In the second game, Djokovic won 6-3. While in the third game he won 6-4 and the fourth game won 7-6 (3).

After the match, Kyrgios praised his opponent as high as the sky. "He's a demigod, I'm not lying," he said, as reported by Antara.

Kyrgios himself did not seem so disappointed with his achievements. He admitted that he had been performing well and extraordinary over the last few days.

"I'm very happy with this result, maybe the best of my career and hopefully one day I will be here again," he said.

Meanwhile, Djokovic admitted that he would treat Kyrgios to dinner after confirming the championship trophy. He said this was the start of a beautiful relationship between them off the pitch.

He later said, Kyrgios is a phenomenal tennis player with extraordinary talent. "I'm sure we'll see him a lot in the final stages of a Grand Slam," said the 35-year-old.
